Dove Evolution of Beauty

  • They raised her head
  • They rounded off her shoulders more
  • Raised her eyebrows
  • Toned her face
  • Plumped her lips
  • Enhanced her cheek

I think it is think it is ethically OK to change a person's appearance in a photo like this only because they were using it for a modeling purpose on a bulletin. It would be worse if they did it without her permission. The changes they did i think were okay sense it was for a fashion bulletin but if they were to change her hair color or her eyes or her skin tone i think that would be wrong. Difference between fashion photography and photojournalist are that the fashion photo's get enhanced to the point you can't even recognize who it is in the first place they change almost everything. In photojournalism they just touch up the photo and they don't alter the person.

least unethical

I think this one is the least Unethical. Mostly because its not that big of deal it isn't as important as the debate with the president. They probably just did that to make it look like the article, her being rich and powerful.

most unethical

i think this one is the most unethical photo. Mainly because there fasely saying the president was debating "Saddam" when he really wasn't.

University of Wisconsin-Madison

The article was about how the University of Wisconsin-Madison was trying to be a more diverse to have more African Americans join there school. The cover of the undergraduate application for the university was there crowed at there football game. Robert Seltzer the Admissions Director decided it was a "good" idea to digitally insert an African Americans photo so that they would look more diverse.
I think that what they did was wrong. They could have easily just took a different photo for the cover instead of adding the picture. Which in my opinion makes them look more racist than anything.
